Last month, the Ocean City American Legion Post 524 Auxiliary brought the tastes, sounds and aromas of a South Jersey boardwalk to veterans residing at the Vineland Veterans Home. The event, known as A Boardwalk Holiday, recreated a fun filled day trip to the beach. Auxiliary Chairperson Joanne Marzulli purchased water bottles, lip gloss, small stuffed animals, back scratchers and manicure sets, to add authenticity to the shore themed event. Two Ocean City merchants generously donated items as well. Shriver’s Salt Water Taffy & Fudge donated taffy, mints, and a decorative banner. Johnson’s popcorn offered tubs of their regionally-famous snack.
