Where There's a Will There is a Way
Speaker:
Cape May County Surrogate M. Susan Sheppard, Esq.
Surrogate Sheppard will discuss the role of the Surrogate Court in County government and the interface of the probate court with estates and trusts. Specifically, she will provide information on wills, power of attorneys, guardianships, and other issues that are important to the public and provide practical pointers that may be helpful during a trying time. Sheppard was elected Surrogate Judge in 2012 and has been a practicing attorney since 1991. She is responsible for the probate of wills, the appointment of administrators of estates, guardians for minors and incapacitated persons and adoptions.
