Where's Spring?

  • News
It seems Mother Nature didn’t get the memo that spring arrived a couple of weeks ago. A series of cold blast continues to hamper our early Spring and it looks like it will continue into next weekend. We can blame the dreaded Polar Vortex for this winter-like chill. The Polar Vortex which contains a large amount of very cold air over the polar regions, occasionally can spill south into North American. While this generally occur during the winter months, April is not immune to such an intrusion. The crux of the cold air settles in tonight as temperatures will dip into the upper 20s. A Freeze Warning is in effect for tonight so protect any plants that maybe susceptible to the cold. By Thursday, southerly winds (15- 20 mph) will help drive temperatures into the upper 50s, unfortunately we will have some rain along with it ahead of the next cold front.
