All Clear for New Roller Coaster in Ocean City

Two roller coasters have been removed from Playland's Castaway Cove at 10th Street and Boardwalk to make room for a major new one. The Python Coaster and the Flitzer Roller Coaster at Playland are now gone, and construction crews are pouring footings for the new ride at the amusement park between 10th and 11th streets on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
