Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce and city officials gathered Friday afternoon to officially launch Bowfish Kids with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. The store specializes in apparel, gifts and accessories for boys and girls, infant through teens. It specializes in kids' bathing suits. Quirk, 25, studied fashion design at Philadelphia University, and she said she saw a need for a children's shop on the boardwalk. Bowfish Kids caters to both the shoppers and the shopped-for. Kids can push miniature shopping carts, and on Friday, they were getting ready to take a whack at a piñata filled with candy, hair bows and coupons. For more information on the shop, visit it on Facebook
or online. Look for the launch of bowfishkids.com later this summer.
