A great winter for surf continued on Saturday as offshore winds on the tail end of a coastal storm cleaned up some overhead waves for a good crowd of the frozen faithful. The ocean water temperature was 38 degrees on Saturday afternoon and the air temperature 37 degrees. Another storm system is expected to arrive Sunday night will be accompanied by a few days of strong northeast winds. That should generate a new swell, and good conditions could return Wednesday when the flags turn with a west wind.
