The first annual "Raider-thon" will be held on Friday (Jan. 23) at Ocean City High School.
Similar to a dance-a-thon, the event will require students to dance and move from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. — 7 hours straight with no sitting.
Students are being asked to raise a minimum of $50 as an entrance fee with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the Ocean City Education Foundation and The Sunshine Foundation, which benefits children in the local community suffering from chronic health conditions.

"We're hoping that it grows," Snow said of the inaugural event.
