Wind Chill Advisory in Effect Until 11 Friday Morning

Ice covers the outfall pipe at First Street in Ocean City, NJ. The National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory in effect until 11 a.m. Friday (Feb. 20). The advisory warns of temperatures that will fall to about 6 degrees on Thursday night and will top out at about 16 degrees on Friday. At the same time, west winds of 15 to 25 mph (with stronger gusts) will send wind chill values as low as -15 degrees. Temperatures will crack the freezing mark on Saturday with a predicted high temperature of 35 degrees. It's likely to rain on Saturday afternoon with the precipitation expected to turn to a mix of snow and rain on Saturday evening.
