Ocean City Home Bank Employees Provide Meals to Over 90 Families in Need

  • News
The employees of the second floor of Ocean City Home Bank's Ocean City branch collected enough food to provide Thanksgiving meals for 25 families. For many local families in need, preparing a holiday meal is a luxury they simply cannot afford.  With the help of the employees of Ocean City Home Bank, more than 90 area families have received grocery bags filled with all of the ingredients required for a plentiful Thanksgiving meal. “Last year, the employees on the second floor of our Ocean City branch set and reached a goal of contributing enough food to feed 20 families, and this year, other branches decided to try to surpass that number,” said Steven Brady, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ocean City Home Bank.  “When our branches are competing with each other to see who can have the greatest positive impact on the community, everyone wins.” The Hammonton branch of Ocean City Home Bank led the food collection efforts this year, assembling 30 grocery bags containing supermarket gift cards, along with trimmings such as macaroni and cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, string beans, corn and yams.  The second floor of the Ocean City branch was a close second, collecting enough food for 25 families.  The 90 bags of food collected throughout all of Ocean City Home Bank’s Atlantic and Cape May County branches were delivered to Jewish Family Services for distribution to families in need. In addition to the Thanksgiving food drive, Jewish Family Services operates a food pantry that offers hearty meal options to area families throughout the year.  To donate, visit the
