Make Food Cupboard Donations at Your Mailbox on Saturday

U.S. Postal Service mail carriers from Ocean City will collect non-perishable food items for the charitable Ocean City Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard for the needy on Saturday, Dec. 5. Anybody who wants to contribute to this Postal Food Drive can leave items by their mailbox, and their mail carrier will pick them up on Saturday. These item are most needed:
  • Canned meats: beef stew, chicken, chilli
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned Potatoes
  • Cans of fruit
  • Cans of soup
  • Cereal
  • Tuna
  • Macaroni and Cheese
  • Cans of Ravioli’s, Spaghetti O’s, Lasagna
  • Pork and beans
  • Juice
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Crackers
  • Rice
  • Tea bags
Also needed are: Microwave Items: Microwave Mac & Cheese, Microwave rice, Hormel Microwave meals Non-Food Items: 
Liquid laundry detergent, Dish detergent, Shampoo, Deodorant, Toothpaste, Paper towels. Donations also can be dropped off at: Ocean City Post Office 859 Ocean Avenue M-F 8:30 am- 5pm Sat. 9 am- 1pm Ocean City Food Cupboard 501 E. 8th Street M-F 1 pm – 3pm
