Weekly Farmers Market Opens Wednesday in Ocean City

  • Things To Do
Starting June 25, a Farmers Market will visit Ocean City (NJ) every Wednesday through Sept. 10. The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce Farmers & Crafters Market opens for summer 2014 on Wednesday (June 25). Local farmers will be on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle (Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue) and crafters will set up on Asbury Avenue between Fifth and Sixth Streets.  The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will showcase a dozen farmers and a number of crafters with many handmade treasures and treats.  The market features a great assortment of fresh Jersey produce, fresh flowers, and fresh herbs, all from local farms.  The market will continue every Wednesday through September 10. This market, established with the NJ Department of Agriculture, is designed to benefit local farmers by exposing them to a new outlet to sell their produce, which will help sustain their farms.
