Holiday Health Fair Set for Sunday in Ocean City

WHEN: Sunday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. WHERE: The Senior Center of the Ocean City Community Complex, 17th and Simpson Ave. The free health fair will include a free 15-minute massage, back and shoulders for stress relief. Free health screening all day, including blood glucose test, cholesterol test, Harvard step cholesterol test, Harvard step test, body mass index, lung capacity, blood pressure and more. Also: hydrotherapy for relief of upper respiratory infection and related lung problems, and diet change to overcome various diseases including Type II diabetes, lifestyle changes to achieve weight loss and natural home remedies for the common cold, digestive and skin problems There will be cooking demonstrations on how to prepare healthy, tasty vegetarian meals. From 3 to4 p.m., there will be A Christmas program of Carols of the World and highlights from Handel’s Messiah. Vegetarian meals will be served at noon and 4 p.m. The seminar is free. There will be a $10 charge for the “all you can eat” lunch and dinner. Children under 12 are free. Ocean City has a "Sister City" relationship with San Jose Occidental Mindoro of the Philippines and for the last five years has presented a Philippine Craft Fair and Filipino entertainment at the Music Pier on the Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace in July.
