The Woof 'N Paws Pet Fashion Show is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at a new location, indoors at the Ocean City Sports and Civici Center.
Easter Weekend usually marks the rebirth of another season of non-stop special events in Ocean City. Here are some of the highlights (both secular and religious).
Thursday, April 2
"THE LIVING LAST SUPPER": The Ocean City Tabernacle, Fifth Street and Wesley Avenue, brings the famous painting to life at 7 p.m. Thursday. Experience an evening of drama and music as Jesus shares his last meal with his disciples followed by a unique communion service. Admission is free.

Friday, April 3
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE: All members of the community are invited to prepare for Easter at the annual service from noon to 3 p.m. at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, Eighth Street and Central Avenue. Area clergy will preach on “The Seven Last Words of Christ.” Music by St. Peter’s choir and soloists. The Ocean City Ministerium and Ecumenical Council are sponsors of the service. Worshippers are invited to come and go or stay for the entire service. An offering will benefit the Food Cupboard and Clothes Closet.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS ON BOARDWALK: Those who wish to take part in the Ocean City Stations should gather at 14th Street and the Boardwalk at noon on Good Friday, April 3. Participants will wend their way through the stations as they continue down the Boardwalk to 6th Street. All are welcome.

Saturday, April 4
BREAKFAST WITH THE EASTER BUNNY: Visit and take photos with the Easter Bunny 8 a.m. till noon at Jon and Patty’s Bistro, 637 Asbury Ave.
WOOF ‘N PAWS PET FASHION SHOW: The show will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. The event has been moved to inside the Ocean City Sports and Civic Center, Sixth Street off Boardwalk. Categories include Best Dressed Dog, Cat, Other Pet, Best Bonnet, Intelligent Pet Tricks, Owner-Pet Look-Alike, Swim Suit Division. Rabbits, Turtles, Guinea Pigs, Ferrets and even a chicken have competed for Best Dressed Pet Title. Best of Show receives the coveted Dean Schofield Woof ‘N Paws Plaque for Perfection. There is a $5 entry fee. The event is open to “any pet that will not eat another pet.”
THE GREAT EASTER EGG HUNT: 2:30 p.m., 11

Sunday, April 5
THE EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE: Starts 6:30 a.m. at Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. Congregational Singing plays a large part in the program.
800 worshippers will become a choir to sing Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus with trumpets and piano. Copies of the music will be distributed along with the program. Experienced singers will lead everyone through the unique experience. All are welcome to attend.
EASTER FASHION PROMENADE: Starts in front of the Music Pier at 1 p.m. Prizes for Best Dressed participants. Take photos with the Easter Bunny who will have chocolate bunnies for the children. Emcee will be Michael Hartman, founder of the Ocean City Theatre Company. For information call (609) 399-6111.
