City Seeks Volunteers to Fill Three Housing Authority Seats

The City of Ocean City is seeking applicants for volunteers to fill three unexpired seats on the Ocean City Housing Authority.

Three commissioners resigned after the most recent Housing Authority meeting. See “City Gets $1 Million But Loses Three Housing Authority Commissioners.”

Information on the positions is as follows:

  • Filing deadline:  Monday, June 9, 2014
  • To apply: Complete a Citizen Leadership e-FORM
  • Purpose: The Ocean City Housing Authority is an independent body responsible for the ownership and management of Public Housing in Ocean City in accordance with state and federal guidelines. The Board of Commissioners are responsible for the oversight of finances and policies. Housing authority commissioners must complete five courses within 18 months of appointment.
  • Vacancy: Fill three unexpired terms
  • Meetings: Six times per Year
