On Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at 12th Street and the beach, the Ocean City Beach Patrol will host the Women’s Lifeguard Invitational.
The events include:
- Row-Swim 1st place – 5 points
- 300 Meter Swim Relay 2nd place – 4 points
- 300 Meter Paddle Relay 3rd place – 3 points
- Run-Swim Relay 4th place – 2 points
- Surf Dash Relay 5th place – 1 point
Arrival Procedure: Each patrol will be allowed one vehicle. The 14th Street Boardwalk ramp will be used for beach access. The arrival time window is between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
A competitor’s meeting will be in front of the 12th Street Lifeguard Station at 5:30 p.m.
The team scoring the most points at the end of the five events will be named the overall team champion. In the event of a tie in total points, the better finish in the surf dash will be the tiebreaker.
