The pool at the Ocean City Aquatics and Fitness Center is close during repairs of a flooded pump.
A cracked PVC pipe led to flooding of a pump at the Ocean City Aquatics and Fitness Center, and the repairs could take 3 to 6 weeks.
The pool will be closed until repairs are complete — hopefully by Nov. 1, Community Services Director Mike Allegretto said on Wednesday.
The Ocean City High School swim team is scheduled to start workouts on Nov. 9. The Ocean City C-Cerpants age-group club team is working to lease pool time from another facility. Aquatics and Fitness Center Director Karen Pratz is working to arrange possible accommodations for lap swimmers at another pool.

The Ocean City Aquatics and Fitness Center is part of the city-owned Ocean City Community Center at 17th Street and Simpson Avenue.
