The Pi Day 5K Run and Walk will not be held this Saturday because of the coronavirus. A new date will be set, school officials announced on the district’s website at www.oceancityschools.org.
The race is organized by Ocean City Primary School teachers Carrie Merritt and Erin Porter for students, families and community members.
Pi Day is an annual national celebration of the mathematical constant pi. Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14 in the month/day format) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of pi.
