The largest Christmas Parade in recent years will kick off from Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5.
The parade route is on Asbury Avenue from Sixth Street to 11th Street.

The parade also will feature themed cars, special displays and costumed characters. The Ocean City High School boys' and girls' South Jersey championship soccer teams, the state finalist field hockey team, and the Cape-Atlantic League champion boys' and girls' cross-country teams also will march.
Santa arrives in a horse and carriage. After the Parade, Santa will greet youngsters, give out treats and pose for photos in the park across Ninth Street from City Hall. The event is sponsored by the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, the City of Ocean City and the Downtown Merchants Association.
