Speculation about a liquor license has swirled on social media.

Mayor Jay Gillian says Ocean City's purchase of two parking lots will benefit the downtown area.

Combined, the two lots will provide 44 parking spaces.

One speaker was an Ocean City firefighter who volunteered to help respond in New York City shortly after the attacks.

The ceremony included placing a wreath of remembrance followed by a moment of silence to reflect on the tragedy.

The meeting will include a discussion of issues affecting the Second Ward and all of Ocean City.
