Conn. teens charged in Cape May car burglaries

  • Crime

Cape May police have charged two Connecticut teenagers in a string of car burglaries and the theft of one vehicle in 2025.

Following a lengthy investigation, Nazir Rainey and Nikolas Creed Jordan, both 19 and of Bristol, Connecticut, were charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy, police announced in a news release posted on Facebook.

“A thorough and extensive investigation, along with the assistance and cooperation of several witnesses, ultimately led to the approval of charges against both parties,” the release said.

The investigation began when Cape May police responded to a 911 call on the morning of Aug. 24, 2025, from a resident at the 1200 block of Missouri Avenue.

The resident reported that he had left his vehicle parked in front of his house the night before and went out and found it missing the next morning.

Detectives identified the teenagers as suspects after reviewing video surveillance from an incident the previous evening, according to the release.
