An early morning fire destroyed a Somers Point business Saturday.
Somers Point firefighters were dispatched to the 800 block of Bay Avenue just after 1 a.m. for a commercial structure fire, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.
Crews endured harsh fire conditions and single-digit temperatures in fighting the blaze, calling in other towns for help.
No injuries were reported.
Serenity Now Massage & Facial Spa announced the "devastating fire" in a Facebook post, saying it destroyed everything.
"My staff and I who love what we do and love our clients, we are extremely upset this has happened," the post reads. "We have been serving the area since 2008. To see it be destroyed is heartbreaking. We are now closed until further notice."
Northfield Volunteer Fire Company #1 was dispatched at 1:28 a.m., first staging FAST operations —Firefighter Assist and Search Team — before moving to suppression and then back to FAST.
The scene remained active as of 7 a.m., with the fire under control and an investigation underway, Somers Point firefighters wrote.
In addition to Northfield, they thanked departments from Linwood, Scullville, Marmora and Bargaintown, along with Somers Point police, Public Works and Ladies Auxiliary, and Egg Harbor Township EMS.
