Ocean City has implemented a new electronic system for the public to make records requests.
The new online portal is designed to make the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request process more efficient.
Members of the public can easily and quickly submit OPRA requests electronically, receive confirmations immediately and track the status of their requests in real time. A log of all OPRA requests can be viewed by the public.
Anyone who wishes to submit an OPRA request can visit the following link: ocnj.nextrequest.com. This page is also linked from the city website: ocnj.us.
The city will continue to accept written OPRA requests, which are available at the City Clerk's Office (861 Asbury Avenue, use Ninth Street entrance).
