The newest airline servicing Atlantic City International Airport announced nonstop flights to Tampa starting in July.
Breeze Airways will offer flights between the Egg Harbor Township airport and Tampa, Fla., starting July 1, with fares as low as $79 one way.
Tampa already was on the list of destinations Breeze made during the announcement that it was coming to ACY in January. But at that time, it was listed as "BreezeThru" service, which included a stopover in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, on Thursdays and Sundays, but no change of plane.
Those flights begin June 11.
The first Breeze Airways flights are set to begin May 6, with nonstop service to and from Charleston, S.C.
“Atlantic City is one of our newest markets, and we’re excited to already be expanding our service there,” Breeze Founder and CEO David Neeleman said. “The addition of (nonstop to) Tampa gives our Guests a great Florida destination and reinforces our commitment to growing in the community.”
The airline focuses on connecting travelers to underserved cities nationwide and is coupled with a brand-new fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft. They also offer free family seating, fast onboard WiFi, preferred seat options and no change or cancel fees.

"Offering Tampa as a nonstop destination beginning July 1 gives our passengers another convenient travel option and strengthens our connectivity to the Southeast. We look forward to welcoming the airline’s first flights in May and advancing our commitment to growing air service for the region.”
