Dmitriy Makarov Builds Success With GMG Philosophy and Biohacking

Dmitriy Makarov, a London-based entrepreneur, credits much of his success to a framework he calls GMG – Grind, Mastery, Growth. His marketing agency employs more than 100 people and works with global brands such as BMW, Nivea, Intel, Domino’s, Durex, Kyivstar and Hugo.

Dmitriy Makarov began his career with freelance projects and self-taught lessons in esports and marketing. That early determination, combined with his GMG mindset, helped him carve out space in the competitive world of digital strategy, influencer marketing and performance campaigns.

The GMG Philosophy

Makarov’s philosophy is divided into three pillars. Grind is the foundation, representing consistent effort and persistence. Mastery follows, with a focus on sharpening skills and gaining a deeper understanding of people and strategy.

“Mastery is about developing expertise in marketing, analytics and management,” the entrepreneur said. Growth is the final stage, representing progress for both individuals and organizations, from helping a single teammate to leading an international agency.

Biohacking as a Business Tool

Alongside mindset, Dmitriy Makarov turns to biohacking to stay productive. Often associated with athletes, biohacking has become part of his entrepreneurial routine.

“The ideal performer, be it a sportsperson or an employee, is not a robot with a regimen, but someone with a smart balance between workload, recovery and personal needs,” he said.

For him, that balance includes morning and evening routines without technology, a diet centered on whole foods and low sugar, and consistent exercise. These habits, he said, support focus and resilience over the long term.

“In the end, biohacking is not about controlling every second. It is about an internal ecosystem with room for rest and flexibility, but also internal discipline that keeps you focused,” Makarov said.

Beyond Supplements

Dmitriy Makarov has also experimented with practices such as intermittent fasting in a 16:8 format and selective supplements. But he warns against treating them as shortcuts.

“Any supplement is just a tool, not a replacement for sleep, nutrition, recovery and balanced workload,”he said.

Technology supports this balance as well. Makarov uses wearable devices like Whoop to monitor sleep quality, strain levels and heart rate variability. These insights, he said, allow him to make adjustments and avoid burnout. “The device adapts its recommendations to you; it is not just stats but a personal algorithm,” he said.

A Model for Entrepreneurs

For Dmitriy Makarov, the combination of the GMG mindset and biohacking creates a sustainable approach to business leadership. His journey from independent freelancer to founder of a global agency shows how persistence, skill development and adaptability can drive growth.

As his story suggests, building success isn’t only about effort. It’s about structure, balance and long-term discipline. And for Makarov, both GMG and biohacking remain essential tools on that path.
