Gambling Websites and Games

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has published data around gaming revenues between 2022 and 2025, and it makes pleasing reading for companies in the gambling industry overall. The data shows that the industry has experienced peaks and troughs, but in the last year, US gaming revenue has been consistently above $5 billion and, every two months approximately, pushing past $6 billion.

Less pleasingly for them, in August 2025, the casino, sports betting, and iGaming verticals generated $1.47 billion in state gaming tax revenue, and over the first eight months of the year, they’ve paid almost $11.86 billion in gaming taxes alone. Below is a look at the sites generating major revenue for companies, how people seek iGaming games, the most lucrative games for operators, and how this could affect New Jersey.

The biggest revenue-generating websites

Changes in regulation have lent the sports betting landscape a massive boost. The US Supreme Court’s decision that states should have the freedom to decide whether they wish to permit and regulate sports betting was monumental. Companies that offer sports betting, such as DraftKings and Caesars Entertainment, have capitalized on this newfound freedom of state citizens and added to their vast revenues through online services, as has MGM Resorts International’s sports betting partner, BetMGM.

FanDuel, a brand belonging to the industry’s largest sports betting and iGaming operator, is another one of many gambling websites available to residents, which brings in huge revenues. Bet365, which specializes in sports betting, is another household name generating massive revenues from sports betting, casino, bingo, and poker.

Video-based channels and platforms

Gaming fans get their information on new games and what to play from a wide variety of sources. One thing identified is a preference for video-based platforms. YouTube is one of the most trusted. Mobile-first platforms, such as TikTok and Instagram, are especially popular with younger players as developers and social media managers do their best to crack the algorithm and draw awareness to their games.

Video-based and streaming platforms combine entertainment, community, educational content, and expert gameplay. This transforms them into a valuable tool for game discovery. Audiences can see players use the games, either recorded or in real time, and how they’re played.

Reviews

Reviews do a grand job of helping players find games. The amount of choice is overwhelming, but the reviews can help them narrow down the selection of games they want to consider playing and eventually choose. The sites enable them to analyze the quality of a website and its games, and they also build trust between players and operators.

The games that attract the most players and revenue

One of the joys of being an iGaming enthusiast is that there’s never a dull moment. Players can switch from one type of game to another easily or even teach themselves how to play games and test their knowledge.

Slots

Online slots are the hands-down undisputable money-spinners for iGaming operators. They’re engaging and easy to play, there are lots of them, and they work on desktop and mobile. They ooze potential for monetization, and they offer operators, designers, and developers lots of flexibility in terms of features. It’s also possible to produce and localize them quickly.

Blackjack

Blackjack is simple but strategic. Players can learn the rules of the game easily and start playing quickly. It’s one of the most popular casino games around the world, not just because of its simplicity but also because of its lower house edge than several other games.

Roulette

Roulette enjoys massive popularity because of the game’s simplicity and the thrill of seeing whether the prediction of where the ball will land comes true or otherwise. Most casinos will offer free games to new players.

New Jersey and the potential future of iGaming there

New Jersey authorizes iGaming service provision by licensed operators and permits iGaming within the state by its citizens. Sweepstakes casino operation has witnessed opposition recently, however.

The Garden State recorded total gambling revenue of $5.13 billion for the year to date through September 2025. That’s an 8.7% increase on the same period in 2024, which was $4.72 billion. The growth of iGaming in general, alongside this upward trend in New Jersey, suggests that iGaming will continue to grow in the state. There is talk of removing in-play betting, however, and of new rules for operators to monitor players more closely to support responsible gambling.

Gambling revenues, especially from iGaming, are increasing as players indulge in their favorite gaming activities and employ different methods of finding games. The fact that some games are so easy to understand and to adapt to mobile platforms is fueling their popularity. The market is likely to grow in New Jersey and elsewhere.
