Ocean City offers eight miles of family-friendly beaches.
Ocean City landed the No. 2 spot in the country for “Best Summer Travel Destination” in a USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards announced Wednesday.
An expert panel nominated 20 must-see places for a summer vacation. Nominations were carefully curated by a panel of experts and USA Today 10Best editors before being voted on by the public.
When the votes were counted, it was clear that Ocean City, “America’s Greatest Family Resort,” is a favorite summer destination, offering vacationers eight miles of beaches, the bay and a 2.5-mile Boardwalk.
The winners of the “Best Summer Travel Destination” poll are ranked as follows:
1. Mackinac Island, Michigan
2. Ocean City, New Jersey
3. Catalina Island, California
4. Saratoga Springs, New York
5. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
6. Tybee Island, Georgia
7. Block Island, Rhode Island
8. Minneapolis, Minnesota
9. Cody, Wyoming
10. Amelia Island, Florida
