Which Eagles Games Should Fans Be Circling in 2025?

  • News from our partners

In a season that has only 17 regular-season games, every game matters. But that doesn’t mean all games are created equal, especially for the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Some games in 2025 will carry a little more importance than others based on a variety of factors. While fans probably won’t want to miss any games, we decided to pick out the games that fans should have circled before the 2025 season gets underway.

Week 1: vs Cowboys

For the reigning Super Bowl champs, the season opener the following year is always a big deal. The game attracts even more attention when it comes to a hated division rival. That makes Philadelphia’s Week 1 game against the Cowboys the most intriguing game of the season. It’s on a Thursday night in primetime and will be the first game of the entire NFL season. Not only will the Eagles celebrate their Super Bowl victory, but they will look to take an early lead in the NFC East against a Dallas team they outscored 75-13 across two games last season.

Week 2: at Chiefs

The NFL isn’t messing around with the 2025 schedule. In Week 2, they’ll send the Eagles to Kansas City for a Super Bowl rematch with the Chiefs. The Eagles and Chiefs figure to be among the best teams in the league in 2025, so this is an early-season heavyweight matchup that all NFL fans should have circled. Granted, it may not receive as much attention as the Super Bowl, especially from a betting perspective. However, fans and bettors alike should have their eyes glued to this matchup. But before you start placing wagers, look closely at all of the betting offers available at a wide variety of sportsbooks.

Week 11: vs Lions

On paper, the Eagles and Lions might be the two best teams in the NFC this season. Thus, a Week 11 matchup will be a big deal and a potential playoff preview. Somehow, these teams have missed each other the last two years. But the last time they met in 2022, the game did not disappoint, with the Eagles holding on for a 38-35 win in an endlessly entertaining game. Fans in Philly can only hope for a repeat of the mid-November rematch, which will be the Sunday night primetime game.

Week 16: at Commanders

One of the only flaws in Philadelphia’s schedule this year is that fans have to wait until Week 16 to see a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship Game. Now that the Commanders have found their franchise quarterback in Jayden Daniels, this rivalry has a chance to take off and become the pre-eminent rivalry in the NFC East. Plus, who knows what playoff implications could be on the line when the Eagles make the short trip to the D.C. area on December 20.

Week 17: at Bills

The Eagles and Bills aren’t bona fide rivals, but this still figures to be one of the best NFL games of the season. Buffalo has reigning MVP Josh Allen and has been painfully close to reaching the Super Bowl over the last five years. That makes this a potential Super Bowl preview. The fact that the Eagles have to make the trip to Buffalo in late December when the weather is unpredictable at best adds another element of intrigue for this matchup. Plus, when the Eagles and Bills met two years ago, they played an overtime thriller that the Eagles won 37-34, setting the stage for an equally compelling game this season.

Week 13: vs Bears

Winning the Super Bowl comes with certain privileges, including the honor of playing on Black Friday. The NFL has three games on Thanksgiving, but the following day, the Eagles host the Bears in the only game on the schedule. That should make Black Friday a special day in Philadelphia. The Bears could also be an intriguing opponent for the Eagles if second-year quarterback Caleb Williams can take a step forward.

Week 10: at Packers

The Eagles beat the Packers twice last season. First, they won the season opener in Brazil. Later, they beat them at home in the Wild Card Round of the Playoffs. But in 2025, the NFL is sending the Eagles to Lambeau Field for a Monday night game in November. Given Green Bay’s recent track record, this should be a tough game for the Eagles, who haven’t visited Lambeau Field since 2020.

Week 18: vs Commanders

Naturally, Eagles fans will want to circle the final game of the regular season. There could easily be playoff implications in this game, especially since it comes against the Commanders. You may have noticed that Philadelphia and Washington will play twice in the final three weeks of the season. But after the teams met in the NFC Championship Game last season, both meetings this year are worth circling.
