Registration is open for the 45th annual T. John Carey Masters Swim in Ocean City at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 13.
The Masters Swim has been one of the premier open-water swimming events at the Jersey Shore since 1979. The one-mile ocean race follows a point-to-point course that runs parallel to the beach.
The race will start at the 20th Street beach and head in a south to north direction. However, race directors may change the direction based on favorable wind and tide conditions on the day of the race.
Free parking will be available at the Ocean City Community Center at 1735 Simpson Avenue.
