Disgusting Eagles fan who went viral disowned by other fans, banned from the Linc for life

  • Eagles

Reputations can be hard to shake. That's especially true when it comes to the reputation of Eagles fans.

So when some green-clad moron goes viral for his behavior, it's important to take quick action. Fans need to show that the moron isn't representative of the fan base, and the organization needs to show that such behavior will not be tolerated.

Here is said moron, in case you're not one of the 25 million folks who have already viewed the original video:

Not a great look. But the Eagles and their fans handled the situation exactly the way they should.

First, Birds fans and media relentlessly disowned the goofball and attacked his inappropriate behavior:

And then the organization did its part:

Got Big Dom on the guy's ass right away. Banned him. Apologized to the Packers fan and sent her some gear. Some textbook damage control by the club.

This wasn't the first ugly incident involving an Eagles fan and it won't be the last.

Is it unfair that the national media seems to take much more of an interest in shitty Birds fans than shitty fans of other teams? Sure. Sadly, there's nothing the Eagles or their fans can do to change that.

But by universally condemning the behavior and making things right with Sunday's victim, Eagles Nation helped show that it's unfair and inaccurate to paint it with a broad brush.
