Nick Castellanos' mom, Michelle, says she's "all in" on the 2025 Phillies.

She revealed recently that she's placed bets on the Phillies to win the NL East, the NL pennant and the World Series:

In Castellanos' three seasons with the Phillies, the team has won the NL East (2024) and NL pennant (2022), but fallen short of getting over the top and winning the World Series. Castellanos' postseason resume with the Phillies is a mixed bag, as he's hit .225 in 34 October games in red pinstripes. However, he's been an incredible performer in the NLDS, with back-to-back multi-home run games to help knock out the Atlanta Braves in 2023, and then a .412 batting average in this past year's NLDS loss to the New York Mes.

Castellanos' name was mentioned as a possible trade candidate earlier this offseason, as it was last winter. But with two years and $40 million left on his deal, there's no indication that the Phillies ever got any traction on moving the two-time All-Star.

There have been plenty of ups and downs across the first three seasons for Castellanos in Philadelphia, including a year ago when he posted a .680 OPS in the first half of the season, but rebounded with an .830 OPS after the All-Star Break. He's a streaky player, and as he enters his age-33 season, that's probably what the Phillies should expect over the next two seasons from Castellanos.

Perhaps this will be the year that he and the Phillies peak at the right time in October and finally get over the hump to get him a ring that's eluded his grasp over his first 12 MLB campaigns.
