The Cape May County Park & Zoo has some new star attractions – two bobcats from Arizona.

Born in June 2024, these siblings, a brother and sister not yet named, arrived in March and settled into the former bobcat exhibit located in the zoo's small mammals section, the zoo announced in a news release on Monday.

Visitors can admire the bobcats daily during zoo hours from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Bobcats, named for their distinctive short "bobbed" tails, are medium-sized cats native to North America. These elusive creatures, primarily nocturnal, inhabit various ecosystems and are rarely spotted in the wild.

The addition of the bobcats enhances the zoo’s commitment to wildlife education and conservation, the release stated.

The Cape May County Park & Zoo is free and located at 720 Route 9 North in Cape May Court House, Exit 11 on the Garden State Parkway.
