One day after an embarrassing 9-1 loss to the Nationals, the Phillies were held scoreless through seven innings and lost to the Nats again on Saturday. 6-3 was the final.

Zack Wheeler pitched well (6.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2, 2 BB, 11 K) and Trea Turner hit a two-run home run. But Jeff Hoffman served up four runs in the eighth and, other than the Turner dinger, the Phils' bats didn't do much.

The Nationals outhit the Phillies 25-9 across the two games.

Fans are not pleased.

Even the Bull had a message for the team.

The loss eliminated any chance of winning the NL's top seed over the Dodgers.

But not everyone has lost phaith!!!

Game one of the NLDS is one week away, whether the Phillies are ready or not. As the two seed, they'll play the winner of the wild card series between the three-seed Brewers and whichever team gets the six seed. The latter could be the Braves, Mets, or Diamondbacks.
