Ocean City will have only a limited number of beaches protected by lifeguards as part of the traditional post-Labor Day slowdown.
From now through Sunday, Sept. 15, the following beaches will be guarded:
Lifeguards will be at those beaches from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekends and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
After Sept. 15, all guarded beaches will close for the season.
Guarded beaches may close unexpectedly for various reasons. Please swim only in front of a lifeguard stand staffed by lifeguards.
Lifeguard stands may not be exactly at street ends as guards will place the stand in the safest area depending on water conditions.
The Ocean City Beach Patrol strongly urges bathers to swim only at guarded beaches. If you have any questions, call 609-525-9200.
For all emergencies, call 911.
