The best Eagles coverage is always local, but it’s helpful to get a national perspective.

Here’s a look at what they’re saying about your Birds against the Bengals this week:

From USA Today: Three of four analysts picked the Eagles to win.

"I think the wrong team is favored here. Philadelphia is still flawed, but now that it is healthy, they are a much more complete team. The Bengals cannot stop the rush; the Eagles — with Saquon Barkley popping off — rank second in the league in rushing."

From NFL.com: Two of five analysts picked the Eagles to win.

"OK, from a pure record perspective, the 4-2 Eagles are obviously in better shape than the 3-4 Bengals. But with Philadelphia's staggering 2023 collapse still fresh on the mind, it's only natural to remain on fraud watch. And this year's team has supplied ample basis for skepticism: Jalen Hurts is still a far cry from his 2022 MVP runner-up form, Nick Sirianni recently apologized for trolling his own fans, and the Eagles have yet to score a single first-quarter point."

From CBS Sports: Bengals 30 - Eagles 20.

"Both of these teams seem to have righted things from their slow starts. The Eagles are playing consecutive road games, which will be a challenge after winning a division game last week. The Philadelphia defense will be challenged by Joe Burrow and the passing game. Look for Burrow to have a big day. The Bengals will take it to even their record."

From Sporting News: All five analysts picked the Eagles to win. (Ruh-roh.)

"The Philadelphia Eagles haven’t always looked convincing, but statistically, they are the superior team. Cincinnati has the slightly better offense in terms of numbers but only scored 17 points against the Giants on the road, while Philadelphia managed 28. The Eagles also have the better defense, which should serve them well in this matchup against a 28th-ranked Bengals defense. Although I’m not a big believer in the Eagles, I’m even less of a believer in the Bengals."

From Bleacher Report: Five of eight analysts picked the Eagles (+2.5).

"I'm still waiting for Cincinnati to play a good game on both sides of the ball, and I'm not sure we will see it against Philadelphia. I'm not convinced that the Eagles are a contender either, and Jordan Mailata's absence is extremely concerning. However, I expect Philly to do a better job of consistently showing up on both sides of the ball."
