O.C. Environmental Commission Hosts Program on Sustainable Business Practices Oct. 16

The Ocean City Environmental Commission invites the public to attend a free program on how businesses can become more sustainable while increasing profitability.

Local business owner and Environmental Commission member Caitlin Quirk will deliver a talk on sustainable business practices at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Chris Maloney Lecture Hall in the Ocean City Free Public Library, 1735 Simpson Ave.

“Through my efforts to reduce plastic and single-use waste, I discovered an unexpected benefit: significant cost savings that positively impacted my business’s financial health,” Quirk said in a news release.

Quirk’s presentation will share insights not only from her own journey, but will also offer practical methods for businesses.
