Details of $15 Million Xfinity Live! Upgrade Released Wednesday

Comcast Spectacor and developer The Cordish Companies unveiled their vision for a $15 million upgrade to Xfinty Live! and the surrounding Philadelphia sports complex area on Wednesday.

According to a press release, "the expansion includes external and internal elements of Xfinity Live!, with a special focus on transforming the Live! plaza into a central two-story building featuring an upscale rooftop oasis, AVA Rooftop Bar."

Updates to the Xfinity Live! plaza, as specified in the press release, include:

- An open-air beer garden;

- Crush Bar, featuring hand-squeezed Crush drinks;

A "major" expansion of PBR Cowboy Bar, with an outdoor backyard area featuring a stage;

- An upgraded turf area, providing a "versatile space for various activities and community activations";

- A dedicated area to host rotating local Philadelphia food trucks;

- State-of-the-art audio and visual, including LED screens; and

- Public art installations integrated throughout the plaza.

In addition to the plaza, Xfinity Live! itself is expected to undergo improvements such as an expanded Chickie & Pete's, additional LED screens, a new indoor/outdoor bar, and a major outdoor patio renovation next to Citizens Bank Park.

"We are thrilled to unveil our vision for the new community plaza and continued interior upgrades at Xfinity Live!," said Erin Seifert, Xfinity Live! Director of Operations. "The expanded plaza will serve as a central hub for the sports complex . . . We look forward to welcoming more fans and guests than ever before."

The full project is expected to be completed in 2026. Comcast Spectacor and The Cordish Companies say that Xfinity Live! will remain open throughout construction.
