The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect for Ocean City, Strathmere and nearby coastal areas on Thursday night. A more severe Coastal Flood Watch will be in effect for Friday night. A recent new moon, rain and building onshore winds will combine to cause flooding conditions over the next two nights. Water levels are predicted to crest in the hours around high tide on the bay side (Ninth Street Bridge) of Ocean City at 10:07 p.m. Thursday and 10:54 p.m. Friday. High tides on the bay side of Strathmere near Corson’s Inlet are at 9:55 p.m. Thursday and 10:41 p.m. Friday.
