Ocean City and producers BRE Presents and Bob Rose Productions announced two new shows for the 31st anniversary of the popular Summer Concert Series at the Ocean City Music Pier this year: the Beach Boys and Kenny G. The Beach Boys will perform four shows: two on Monday, Aug. 5, and another two on Tuesday, Aug. 6. Kenny G’s show is scheduled for Tuesday, June 25. Tickets go on sale through etix.com at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26. A special presale (use code BRE) will take place 10 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 24) through 10 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 25). The Beach Boys return to the Music Pier for the first time since performing at sold-out shows in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Founding members Mike Love and Bruce Johnston will be joined by newer bandmates in performing the Beach Boys classics that have been part of the soundtrack of summers for more than six decades. Kenny G’s smooth jazz has made him one of the bestselling artists of all time. He made his Ocean City debut last summer in a sold-out show at the Music Pier. The Summer Concert Series features a lineup of rock and popular music concerts, typically on Monday nights at the Music Pier. Look for new show announcements in the coming weeks. Two bands that performed in last summer’s series will be back by popular demand in 2024: Killer Queen – A Tribute to Queen on July 1 and the Wailers on July 8. Killer Queen pays tribute to Freddie Mercury and the rock band Queen. The high-energy band features Patrick Myers and brings to life all of the Queen classics and anthems. The Wailers are part of the legacy of reggae legend Bob Marley’s band and perform his timeless classics.
