Results of “First Day 5K” Race

 Ocean City held its annual First Day 5K on New Year’s Day. The race saw 639 finishers on a relatively mild Monday afternoon. The out-and-back 3.1-mile course was run entirely on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Andrew Simkins, 37, of Marmora, was the top male finisher in 16:24.45. Stephanie VandenBerg, 35, of Northfield, was the top female fisher in 19:46.66. Complete results, including age group winners, are available here.
