The Ocean City Arts Center presents McDermott’s Handy in an early celebration for St. Patrick’s Day and recognizes a member of the duo, Kathy DeAngelo, as a recipient of the inaugural New Jersey Heritage Fellowship award.
The event is Saturday, March 2, at 3 p.m. in the Chris Maloney Lecture Hall of the Ocean City Public Library, 1735 Simpson Ave.
McDermott’s Handy combines Kathy DeAngelo and Dennis Gormley, the husband-wife duo who have been performing traditional Irish music together in the South Jersey-Philadelphia region since 1979.
The event is free and open to the public. Reservations are suggested and can be handled online or by phone at the Arts Center.
