Eagles Improve to 12-2 With Win Over Steelers: Highlights and Reactions

The Eagles' 27-13 win over the Steelers counts the same as last week's win over the Panthers in the standings. But the vibes couldn't be more different.

After a week of hand-wringing over the Jalen Hurts / A.J. Brown relationship, the two connected for 110 yards and a touchdown. Hurts also hit DeVonta Smith for 109 yards and a TD. (Impressive symmetry from the two receivers.)

The Birds defense, meanwhile, held Pittsburgh to just 13 points despite two Eagles fumbles.

It all added up to a tenth consecutive Eagles victory, a franchise record. And proof that the team can win even when Saquon Barkley is held in check.

Jalen Hurts: 25/32, 290 passing yards, 45 rushing yards, 3 total touchdowns

As many expected, the Eagles fed A.J. Brown the ball early and often.

There was a message behind the Kid 'n Play celebration.

Here's Hurts dropping a classic Hurts line postgame:

DE-FENSE!!! 👏 👏👏 DE-FENSE!!! 👏👏👏

Only two sacks for the Eagles, but Russell Wilson was pressured all day.

The Steelers (and their fans) were demoralized after two early Eagles fumbles led to just three points.

And when Pittsburgh came closest to tying the game back up, the Birds recovered a fumble of their own.

Is Jake Elliott back?

The kicker put some minds at ease with his performance, making both of his field goal attempts. He also connected on a 48-yarder that didn't count because of a Steelers penalty.

Elliott looked so good that Tom Brady called him David Akers. (Akers last played for the Eagles in 2010.)

To be fair, Brady was probably a little shook from seeing Brandon Graham before the game.

Also, here's Graham with Pete Davidson for no apparent reason.

The NFC's top seed is back in play

The Buffalo Bills beat the Detroit Lions Sunday, helping the Eagles' chances at the #1 seed in the NFC.

The Birds still need a little help on that front. But they got the job done for the tenth consecutive week.
