Michele and I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers after the loss of my dad. He truly was a gentleman and statesman who dedicated his life to Ocean City.
Our Aquatic & Fitness Center pool renovation contractor continues to make good progress. Water-blasting of the pool surfaces, tile work, and removal of the decking drains is complete. The replacement of the main drain will begin next week. I will continue to provide updates every Friday as we work to get the pool back open as soon as possible.
The Merion Park flood mitigation contractor (is doing) concrete and drainage work on 35th Street and on Bay Avenue between 34th Street and 36th Street. With work continuing through the summer, the project remains on target to be complete with activation of pumping stations by the end of October.
