Fall means that it’s time to join the Ocean City Arts Center on one of its annual bus trips -- this one to the 47th annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show on Friday, Nov. 3. The bus leaves the Ocean City Arts Center at 9:15 a.m. and departs Philadelphia at 5 p.m. The trip is $75 per person and includes bus transport and show ticket. The Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show was founded in 1977 and was the first retail craft show established and organized by a volunteer committee for the benefit of a non-profit institution. This show and sale of contemporary craft and design includes 195 of the finest and most dynamic craft artists in the United States, selected by an esteemed panel of craft experts, according to a news release. The show has been in the forefront of craft education by presenting symposia, on-site artist demonstrations, collection and studio tours, room settings of craft furniture and accessories, and student exhibitions. To purchase tickets or for more information, call the Arts Center at 609-399-7628 or stop by. The Ocean City Arts Center is located on the second floor of the Community Center at 1735 Simpson Ave. It is open daily Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday.
