The National Weather Service has advised that severe weather is possible in Ocean City as a line of storms passes on Monday afternoon and Monday night.
Damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain are all possible with some of the isolated storms in the region. Winds could gust to 60 or 70 mph. The most severe conditions are possible starting after 4 p.m. Monday and continuing into the early hours of Tuesday.
Loose objects on your property should be brought inside or secured. All contractors are asked to secure job sites. Driving conditions could be hazardous.
Following are emergency contact numbers for local utility companies should you experience outages or other problems during the storm:

The utility companies recommend you contact them directly as soon as you experience a problem so that they can properly track outages and repairs.
No coastal flood advisories have been issued, but residents are asked to closely monitor the forecast and weather conditions. Heavy rain flooding can impact parts of the island that don’t typically experience tidal flooding.
Be prepared to move vehicles. The roads closer to the beach, including Central and Wesley avenues, are at higher elevation, and all municipal parking lots are open for parking.
For Police and Fire Department emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, call 609-399-9111.
