The Philadelphia Flyers Community Caravan will bring carnival-style fun – including an inflatable hockey rink, slap shot target and bungee run – to Ocean City at noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, at the Ocean City Civic Center (just off the Boardwalk at Sixth Street). “The Philadelphia Flyers have always been defined by our connection to the community and our fans, and the Flyers Community Caravan presented by Xfinity is a great way for us to build on that legacy every summer,” said Cindy Stutman, senior vice president of community relations for the Philadelphia Flyers. “We're incredibly excited to kick off the caravan next week at the Shore and make stops throughout the Philadelphia region.” The 2023 Community Caravan will feature appearances by Flyers In-Arena Host Everett Jackson, Flyers alumni, the Flyers Ice Team and, of course, Gritty. Fans attending this summer's Caravan events will also have the chance to get their hands on a lineup of exclusive Flyers-themed giveaways including Gritty Beach Blankets, Flyers Cross Body Bags, Flyers Chip Clips and more. Later on Wednesday, the top women lifeguards in southern New Jersey will compete for bragging rights in the Ocean City Beach Patrol Women’s Invitational.
