The Cape May County Park & Zoo will cohost its annual Earth Day celebration, “Every Day is Earth Day,” with the Cape May County MUA on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The county is looking for people who have environmentally conscious businesses or organizations to be an exhibitor or sponsor of the event, according to a county news release.
Sponsors will be included in all promotional material and logos listed on the special edition T-shirt. All are welcome to set up table displays with information on your earth-friendly company or offer an earth-friendly educational display promoted by your business.
“I encourage local businesses and organizations to participate as a vendor or sponsor of this great Earth Day event,” said County Commissioner Andrew Bulakowski, liaison to the Parks and Zoo.
He continued, “One just needs to look around the county to see that Cape May County businesses and residents practice the 'Every Day is Earth Day' theme in everything they do. We all work hard to protect our environment. This is a great opportunity to show our pride and showcase our ongoing green efforts.”
The Cape May County Park and Zoo will offer hands-on educational exhibits, children’s amusements, live entertainment, a variety of environmental eco-shops and a scavenger hunt. Large tents on the center field will showcase educational exhibits, according to the news release.
The bandstand will feature family-friendly entertainment throughout the day.
Crafters, various vendors and a food court will surround the field and complete the venue.
Each year about 4,000 visitors attend the Earth Day celebration at the zoo.
The Cape May County Park & Zoo is located at 707 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House.
