"Some Of These Days." Her January exhibit at the Arts Center will include work from three of her recent series: “Three Little Figs,” “Factory Work” and “The Produce Series.” “The intention of my work is to convey feelings about a subject seen. If a view or object makes my heart beat a little faster, I’m inspired to paint it. I am interested in still life, but in a way that questions perspective and context. Figs and peaches make lovely, still subject models,” Lotka said in a news release. “My paintings are often inspired by the evolving sky, land and sea views here in southern New Jersey, using layered acrylic and mixed media gestures and marks to explore scale, color and texture. I can only hope that the viewer shares a similar visceral response,” she added. The Ocean City Arts Center is located on the second floor in the Community Center at 1735 Simpson Avenue.
