Traffic moves through the busy intersection of Ninth Street and Asbury Avenue.
The intersection of Ninth Street and Asbury Avenue in Ocean City will be closed for paving starting at 6 a.m. Friday, April 21.
Ninth Street will be closed from West Avenue to Central Avenue. Asbury Avenue will be closed from 8th Street to 10th Street.
Drivers traveling crosstown should plan to use 8th Street or 10th Street to avoid the construction zone.
Asbury Avenue will be open to local traffic, with continuing access to all businesses on the 800 and 900 blocks, but vehicles will not be able to cross the intersection.
The roadway is expected to be restored before the end of the day. The paving is the final step in an emergency storm-drainage repair that started last week.
