Celebrate Earth Day on Friday, April 21, at 1 p.m. with OCNJ AARP Chapter 1062 and welcome Richard Colby, the New Jersey Sierra Club's community solar issues coordinator.
The presentation will be held in Room 110 of the Ocean City Free Public Library at 1735 Simpson Ave.
Some of the goals of the Sierra Club are to keep air and water clean and promote a clean energy future.
The South Jersey chapter of the Sierra Club led the effort to achieve Federal Wild & Scenic status for the Great Egg Harbor River.
In addition to a discussion about the Sierra Club and solar energy issues, Colby will briefly address plans for offshore wind energy projects along the New Jersey coast, the AARP said.
