Cris Pannullo’s winning streak finally came to an end on “Jeopardy!” Tuesday night. Although the Ocean City resident looked indestructible at times during a 21-game winning streak, his incredible run was over when he was outmatched by opponent Andy Tirrell, a professor of political science and international relations, from San Diego, California. Pannullo, a customer success operations manager, racked up $748,286 in total winnings. He is the fifth-longest winning “Jeopardy!” contestant of all time. With his stellar performances and luck finding the Daily Doubles, he earned his place in the 2023 “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions. Pannullo captivated the national audience by winning in grand style, using a strategy of betting big on Daily Doubles to crush his opponents. https://youtu.be/YBevfZQ1jj8 The same tactic was employed by James Holzhauer, who won 32 games in a row while earning $2.6 million in 2019. “Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings, the famous former contestant turned host, is the record holder for “Jeopardy!” wins with 74 in a row and $2,520,700 in winnings.
